Dr. Jeffrey Chung
Houston dentist Dr. Jeffrey Chung graduated with honors in clinical skills from the UCLA School of Dentistry, one of the most competitive programs in the nation. He then completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Chung and his team at Serenity Dental emphasize patient comfort, and their top priority is to provide a comfortable experience with gentle, personalized care. In addition to his extensive training in general dentistry, Dr. Chung is also certified to provide Powerprox Six Month Braces®, conventional braces and dental implants from start to finish.
Dr. Johnson Cheng
Dr. Cheng attended Texas A & M University where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He then attended Baylor College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Cheng loves to talk to patients and get to know them on a personal level. He treats every patient like they’re his own family. In his spare time, he enjoys going for a run, listening to music and spending quality time with family.
Dr. Duc Bui
Dr. Duc Bui chose dentistry after a personal experience where a dentist not only fixed her teeth but also significantly improved her self-esteem. This blend of art, science, and patient care drew her to the field.
She earned her biology degree from George Fox University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. What Dr. Bui enjoys most about dentistry is building relationships with patients, seeing their confident smiles, and being part of their health journey. She focuses on understanding each patient's unique needs to provide tailored care.
Dr. Bui is excited to explore her new community, including its local culture, restaurants, landmarks, and events. She believes this helps her connect better with her patients.
Outside the office, Dr. Bui is married with one child. She enjoys biking, watching movies, trying new foods, hiking, and traveling.
Dr. Ruidan Ma
After moving between 9 cities in 3 different continents by herself, Dr. Ruidan Ma is excited to call Houston her new home. She graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University double majoring in Chemistry and Spanish. The desire to create beautiful smiles for people in different backgrounds has led Dr. Ma to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California, and her orthodontic certificate along with a Master of Science degree from University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Ma is a board-certified orthodontist and has earned numerous dental awards. She has served as Class President during her residency and was selected to represent in the Diversity & Inclusion, as well as the Dental Health Committees in the Greater Houston Dental Society. She also loves giving back to the community not only through her day-to-day work, but also through volunteering events including "Give Kids A Smile".
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ma loves cooking, dancing, playing tennis and trying out new restaurants with her family.
